Addressing the UN General Assembly, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave a speech in defense of the military operations of Israel in seven fronts, including the ones in Gaza and the West Bank, and denied claims of genocide against Israel. Several diplomats left the venue prior to his speech because of the growing isolation of Israel on an international scale, and Netanyahu lashed out at Turkish President Recep Erdogan, the state of Qatar, and New York City Council member Zohran Mamdani. It has been suggested that the controversial speech was meant more for Israeli voters in preparation for parliamentary elections than anything else.
